Contract Technicians
Strong local and small I.T. company seeking skilled and talented
contract technicians who want to become a partner and extension
of our growing business. All of our positions requires excellent
oral and written communication skills and requires the
willingness to take responsibility and accept challenges while
effectively dealing with high stress situations. Must be
flexible with the work schedule; day or night and work with
minimal direction and be willing to become a part of a team that
provides results.
Currently we are looking for technicians with experience in the
following areas, ( jack of all trades welcomed):
·
Structured cabling experience, including termination of cat cable,
installation and troubleshooting
·
Network Installation and Configuration (Routers, switches, Access
Points, etc)
·
Point of Sale Terminal Installation and Troubleshooting
·
PBX and VOIP Phone System Installation, Configuration and
Troubleshooting
·
Systems integrations experience.
·
Nationwide rollouts and upgrade experience
·
Printer maintenance and troubleshooting
The technicians must possess the following:
·
Ability to follow in-depth instructions and work with remote
support
·
Ability to learn new technologies and processes
·
Ability to console into router, switch or UPS’s to make minor
changes such as IP addresses
·
Ability to troubleshoot and extend circuits (T1, Analog, Digital,
etc..)
·
Ability to travel locally and nationwide (Preference given to those
who can travel more than 50%)
·
All tools required to fulfill the project or work order.
·
Have reliable transportation and be willing to travel via auto or
plane.
·
At least three to five years related industry experience,
preferably and related industry certifications preferred
·
Excellent customer service
·
Demonstrate willingness and capacity to be trained in other I.T.
areas
The technicians must be disciplined in:
·
Being on-time
·
Communicating and following processes and procedures
·
Delivering all deliverables in a timely manner as required
Preferences to those who hold:
·
CompTIA A+ certification
·
CCNA, CCNP
·
DCSE, HP or IBM certifications
·
MCSE
·
BICSI, Fiber, CFOT or CPCT, Leviton, Siemon or similar product
certifications
·
Telecom experience along with the above
Pay rate depends on level of experience and the contract
position interested in however is generally within the $15-$25
per hour range for first level. Must be willing to work (at
times) over 40 hours per week.
